Take Ten Kits Creative Team :: Journey Kit: 1 Day, 2 Buses :: February 2015

I LOVE this month’s Journey kit!

This layout uses the Ballon 4×6 card, the blue and white Polka Dot 4×6 card, Geotag and Today’s Plan 3×4 cards, the Home 4×6 card, as well as the wood Duh piece. The wood stars are from a prior kit from Take ten Kits. The alphas are Creative Memories, from my stash.

My daughter and son took the bus for travel on the same day and I knew that would make a perfect layout for this month’s Journey kit and shows parts of their everyday lives.

The layout shows her departure and her arrival destination- perfect with the Go Where Your Heart Leads You card and the Geotag card.

Close up!

I love the dimension the pieces give.

I hope this layout gives you some ideas on how to use this month’s kit.

A Journey can be anything from travel to a life’s goal.

First sneak peek!! I’m on the Creative Team again for Take Ten Kits!! So excited!

My first blog post for Take Ten Kits at The Studio 29 Designs!

This is my first sneak peek for the Take Ten Kits ‘My Story’ January kit!

This card and the sequins come in this month’s kit! I have not see these color sequins before so I was excited to use them. I sew them on with a tiny clear bead so they don’t fall off. The I tape the thread down on the back of the card.

See my new blog post on the Take Ten Kits website and see all of the Creative Team’s sneak peeks at the Take Ten Kits website and fan page:

I will post again soon with the rest of this layout!

Take Ten Kits :: Project Life :: Happy New Year! :: January 2015

Happy New Year!

It’s almost 2015. I’m always so excited when I get my kit that I make a layout usually pretty quickly after it comes. I like to make my layouts in advance. It motivates me to look at it and think about the pocket shapes I need to fill. This month’s Take Ten Kit December 2014 kit was perfect! I like all of the cards and the colors.

Above is the left side of my 2 page January 2015 layout.

:: :: ::

I cut up several cards to make this layout.

Even though I haven’t seen snow in about 7 years I still like the snowy, white, glittery, winter theme. So, to tie together all of the pieces, you will see that I put little bits of glitter paper here and there.

I wanted to use this TTK blue ‘Brand New Year’ card so I cut it up and spread it out. I didn’t want to cover it with a photo!

I love this TTK grey arrow acrylic!

In my mind these little white glitter dots are little snowflakes. And again, I live in California where it doesn’t snow.

For the little dots I just used 2 sizes of a hole punch and used what came out.

The photo above is the right side of my January 2015 2 page layout using the December 2014 Take Ten Kit.

The ‘I Love The Person I’ve Become’ card from TTK December 2014 kit!

This card and star clip is from Take Ten Kits at http://www.thestudio29design.com

Sometimes we are afraid of doing some things. Hopefully this card will help us to remember through the year to do what we’re scared of.

This card from Take Ten Kits goes perfectly with my ‘Wish it snowed in California’ theme. Again, I used the dots that came out from 2 different sized hole punches.

Here is the layout in my Project Life Album for my pocket scrapbook layouts. I had these month layout dividers from a gift so I thought I’d use them. Luckily for me, this one matched!

Below is the entire Take Ten Kits December 2014 kit! I’m saving the other pieces for an upcoming layout. The ‘He Said, She Said’ cards look perfect for my wedding anniversary in February… And #Selfie? I could use that EVeRy month!!

Project Life :: Flashback: Snow in Virginia City! :: October 2014

Creative Team Member here for Take Ten Kits by The Studio 29 Design!

On this layout I used the last few pieces of my October 2014 kit. I also used many pieces from former months from Take Ten Kits. Because I wanted to use this color theme, I went back to some photos from many years ago documenting our trip to Virginia City, Nevada. The last time we took a trip there was the last time we were in snow! We had a great time.

The October 2014 Take Ten Kit pieces are:

Sweater Weather card

White with Blue Circles card, on the bottom center (I cut up to use in a few places)

Ampersand card

Prior piece: Birch Tree card

The photos mixed with the cards from the Take Ten Kits give a very wintery feel. Cozy, cold and you can tell a big holiday is coming soon.

Prior kit: White ABC’s

Sweater weather! It was so cold! Well, because we’re used to California weather.

Prior kit: MTWTF card, light blue, on the right, above

(I cut up card to use in more that one spot)

Prior piece: Wood and Enamel Wood Drops

Lots of blue, not too many embellishments: the Wood Drops, the ABC’s, a few clouds stickers raised with foam dots, round white pieces cut with a hole punch for the snow…and I think that’s it!

I love the way this layout came out!

If you haven’t checked out Take Ten Kits yet, go to:

http://www.studio29design.com

and join the Take Ten Kits Facebook group: go there and ask to be added!

.. The kits are only $10 ..

Ten Dollars!

I like them because it’s not an overwhelming amount of product that just sits, and then gathers dust while more kits pile up. No! You use your kit pieces quickly. If you go to the website, you can see all of the kits and you can see for yourself how great the kit contents are. I am looking forward to next month’s kit already!

Project Life Album :: Flashback: Adventure Awaits! :: October 2014

For this layout I used the Take Ten Kits October 2014 Kit!

Probably the fastest layout I’ve ever done: simple, sweet and lots of color.

Outdoors and woodsy. I love how they used photograph cards in this kit. Perfect for fall photos.

I used white letters to match the white letters on the lower corner.

Love the wood veneer key! I attach it with a somewhat stiff wire- I just wrapped it around and around, poking through the paper.

Thanks Take Ten Kits for making my layout super easy.

I love the way it looks!

Project Life Album :: Flashback: Plugged In! :: October Kit 2014

This was a very easy yet colorful layout!

I used 2 Take Ten Kit cards: Plugged In, from a prior month, and

the bright leaves from this months’ kit

Also from Take Ten Kits October 2014:

wood veneer leaf, orange leaf acrylic and the striped wash tape

Love the wash and orange leaf! And the Plugged In card from a prior kit is so relevant right now!

Colorful leaves and wood veneer leaf were perfect together and made the layout so cozy.

I love the way my Plugged In layout came out!

This layout will face the Pie layout featured in another blog post- look for it!

Take Ten Kits are so versatile and pieces can be used for other months, too. Take Ten Kits has a Facebook page, as well as a website:

http://www.studio29designs.com

Kits are only $10, with no subscription and you can opt out any month and get the next month’s kit with no problem! I love TTK’s because I don’t have a large amount of product leftover to pile up.

Project Life Album :: First Day of School :: August 2014

Back to school..high school..sophomore year. He loves his school and we love it, too. Education is so important for a successful future and this Take Ten Kit card is perfect: Education is what remains after one had forgotten what one had learned in school. -Albert Einstein. School colors are blue and white, the paper with glasses worked great for my son’s photos. And of course we had to take a selfie at school on Back to School night. And the acrylic star and star in circle are so great!!

And always: Go Bells! LOVE the acrylic star and star in circle pieces from the Take Ten Kits!!

Take Ten Kit card from the August 2014 kit!!

My first pocket scrapbooking album- turns out I love this way of scrapbooking! Each pocket is like it’s own little scrapbook page! And my first kit subscription is to Take Ten Kits!

This Back-to-School page will face my Anniversary layout- lots of blues and greens. Thank you Take Ten Kits!!

Project Life Album :: 29th Anniversary :: August 2014

29 years is a long time. We celebrate the day we met every year, as well as our wedding anniversary. I used my Take Ten Kit for August 2014 as well as a few elements from earlier kits.

I cut this 29 out after drawing it freehand. I used a 3×4 card so I know what shape the 29 needed to be in. Then I added the date of our anniversary.

ttk.aug10

Our poor 15 year old had to photograph us at my request. He couldn’t stop laughing at us. I was trying to show that my dress had a bit of a vertical ruffle all the way to the floor. I love that dress! The card was absolutely perfect. My family iS my whole world. Even when they laugh at me.

I love the quote on this card! The colors and the arrows are perfect! I used a little cork arrow to show what we were launched into…and it was something great!!

The stamps, the star, the wood veneer cross in circle, the card – all came in the kit!

This polaroid card is so great! I had never used a letterpress card before and I love it!

This 12×12 pocket scrapbooking Anniversary page will face another page also with blues and greens.
