Take Ten Kits Creative Team :: Journey kit :: Going to ACTF! :: February 2015

I made this layout with the Take Ten Kit February Journey kit!

The pieces I used are the 4×6 Airplane card, and the Sky, Numbers, Arrows and Stripes 3×4 cards. I also used the white Geotag clip, and the cork World piece.

The alphas are from a prior Take Ten Kit.

My daughter went to ACTF in Washington state with her university.

She had a great time.

I used a wood star from my stash on the cork piece to show her location.

I love the dimension the different pieces give.

I typed out the journaling and cut it to fir in the spaces.

I like the way it looks.

I put these 2 cards together on a 4×6 piece of paper. My daughter and her team did Improv there and they had a great time.

I used the alphas from a prior kit.

I used just a half piece of a 12×12 pocket page to make this layout. I made another half piece of the same page for another layout.

I hope this layout gives you ideas for this kit, or any pieces you may have in your stash!

Take Ten Kits Creative Team :: Journey Kit: 1 Day, 2 Buses :: February 2015

I LOVE this month’s Journey kit!

This layout uses the Ballon 4×6 card, the blue and white Polka Dot 4×6 card, Geotag and Today’s Plan 3×4 cards, the Home 4×6 card, as well as the wood Duh piece. The wood stars are from a prior kit from Take ten Kits. The alphas are Creative Memories, from my stash.

My daughter and son took the bus for travel on the same day and I knew that would make a perfect layout for this month’s Journey kit and shows parts of their everyday lives.

The layout shows her departure and her arrival destination- perfect with the Go Where Your Heart Leads You card and the Geotag card.

Close up!

I love the dimension the pieces give.

I hope this layout gives you some ideas on how to use this month’s kit.

A Journey can be anything from travel to a life’s goal.

Project Life Album :: Midsummer Night’s Dream :: October 2014

A new play! My daughter plays Helena in Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was a fast moving, funny play. I love watching her grow as a young woman and as an actor. She’s a talented girl.

This was an easy layout. Because there were so many colors in the photos, I decided to just use a plain colored paper to match the facing page even though they are different events.

I used a few pieces of the paper that matched the facing page. My mother-in-law, who loves theater, was happy to come out and see her granddaughter.

LOVE these wood drops from Pink Fresh Studio!

Also love my Tiny Attacher.

A ticket from the show, and a few pieces from the paper on the facing page. A cousin from out of state, our aunt, and our family enjoyed watching the play together!

These 2 pages will face each other in my Project Life Album. I used matching paper and little pieces to tie the pages together, color wise, so even though they are different unrelated events, they are still color coordinated.

We went to every night of my daughter’s play this time. It’s fun to see the variations from night to night. Plus one day things will change and we may not be able to see everything she does in theater so for now I’m enjoying spending the time with her. And doing things with my 2 other kids, too. They’re almost grown and gone. So, for today- I will enjoy them! Thanks for looking.

Project Life Album :: Good Times with Friends :: October 2014

It’s October! This was a two unexpected events that just happened to come a few weeks apart, with the same old family friends that we have known forever.

My husband’s family and his best friend’s family owned orchards on land next to each other. They had a pretty unusual childhood compared to mine. To be free to play, run, and do bad things together in acres of beautiful fruit trees.

My layout is pretty simple. The lines from the stamps next to the letters drive me crazy. Maybe those stamps aren’t the best ones to use but I tried!

My husband, right, his best friend in the middle, and his cousin on the left. They were talking about the time their high school baseball team played against Barry Bonds. And one day he came into our pharmacy! Crazy coincidence. The bottom photo is with a woman that I know from my daughter’s high school. Our daughters were best friends, are still best friends.

Three important, really great women. I love them.

To remember the reason for the great get together, I printed photos from the luncheon and made them about 2″ small!

And we hadn’t seen this family of friends in a few years. It was great catching up with all of them.

I love the center cards. They really capture the feel of family (yes, I consider them family!) and autumn.

This layout will be on the left side of these 2 separate layouts in my Project Life album.

We had a busy October!
